A4 Paper

A vital office product for any business

Any document sent out by your company needs to say the right things about the organisation. Create the right impression by choosing the right A4 paper for those important communications with prospective and existing clients.

The feel, weight and colour of the A4 paper you choose are all important considerations. As too is the suitability of the paper for the type of machine you're using. Heavier colour inkjet and laser A4 paper may be ideal for creating colour presentations to send to clients but not necessary for simply photocopying.

Distinguish between internal and external communications when ordering your A4 paper. Great value copier papers like those in our Q Connect range are ideal for general office use. In addition to Q Connect’s everyday 80gsm A4 paper you’ll also find colour copier paper and recycled paper.

Here are the basic types of A4 paper you can choose from:

  1. Volume copier or printer paper – This is ideal for general office use, particularly black and white printing and copying, using a broad range of machines. In most cases, this will be more suitable for internal documents like memos, reports and letters.

Examples of volume copier and laser paper include HP Copy; Q-Connect's Copier Paper; Evolve Everyday; and Xerox Performer.

  2. Multifunctional office paper – This type of A4 paper is also suitable for most types of machines, especially laser colour printers and photocopiers. You can also find premium ranges of multifunctional office paper, which are heavier in weight and ideal for reports, colour presentations and external communications.

Examples of multifunctional office paper include Data Copy Everyday Printing; Evolve Business; Q-Connect's Recycled Paper; and HP Printing.

  3. Colour inkjet and laser paper – To produce quality colour printed documents this kind of A4 paper is best. Usually of a heavier grade, this paper increases colour contrast and enhances image reproduction to deliver outstanding results. Ideal for letterheads and creating reports and presentations.

Examples of colour inkjet and laser paper include Xerox's Colotech Plus; HP Colour Laser Paper; and Q-Connect's Inkjet Paper.

  4. Speciality inkjet and photo paper – This type of premium A4 paper should be used when you need to reproduce photographs or create high quality colour presentations, newsletters, brochures, or greeting cards.

Examples of speciality inkjet and photo paper include Canon's Photo paper Plus Glossy II and High Resolution Coated Paper; Avery's Photo Quality Inkjet Paper; Photo Paper High Gloss from Xerox; and Q-Connect's Glossy Laser Photo Paper.

  5. Coloured paper – While white is by far the most popular colour for office A4 paper there is a wide range of colour options you can use to make documents more eye-catching. It is perfect for making your mailings and notices more striking and for colour coding all your internal communications and filing

Examples of coloured paper include the Xerox Symphony Paper; Data Colours; Rey's Copier Tints; and Bright Ideas' Duo Tone Fluorescent Paper.
